How we make money
This site is free to read, and we don't sell ads. Here is exactly how it's funded, and the rules we follow so that funding never decides what we recommend.
Where the money comes from
When you sign up for a tool through some of our links, the vendor pays us a commission. The price you pay is the same either way. Commissions typically range from 20% to 40% of the subscription, sometimes recurring for as long as you stay a customer. We don't publish the rate for each tool because those rates change; what matters is the rule below.
Three tools pay us today
As of September 2026, we earn a commission on Homesage AI, HomeDesignsAI and GoHighLevel. Every other tool on this site earns us nothing. The full list is kept up to date on our affiliate disclosure page.
Our highest-scored tool pays us nothing
Follow Up Boss scores 88 out of 100 — the highest score on this site — and has no affiliate program at all. We rank it first anyway, because the score comes from the method, not from the money. That's the clearest test of whether a site like this one is honest, and we'd rather you check it than take our word for it.
What we refuse
- Paid placements. No vendor can buy a higher position, a better score or a “best for” label.
- Sponsored reviews. We don't publish vendor-written copy, and we don't soften a review in exchange for access or a discount code.
- Scores negotiated with vendors. Vendors can correct a factual error — a price, a feature, a policy — and we'll update the review and its date. They cannot negotiate the score.
- Tools we don't trust. We have left tools out of this site because their independent reviews were too thin to score fairly, or because their billing practices worried us. That costs us commissions. It's the point.
How you can check
Our affiliate disclosure lists the tools that pay us, and every page that links to a tool says so before the first link. Every review shows the date it was last checked and the sources behind it. If you find a number that's wrong, tell us on the contact page and we'll fix it.
Why this matters to you
What a five-agent team spends on software swings widely with the tools it picks — from a free open-house app to an all-in-one platform. We don't put a single number on it; each comparison shows the published rates and our 12-month projection. You're not looking for a coupon, you're looking for a decision you won't regret in six months. That only works if our incentives are visible. Now they are.
